"Let's go to the lobby."

So i was wondering what Movies everyone is watching and what might be recommended and what people should steer clear of. Now playing in Theaters or DVD, don't matter which, good is good and bad is bad.

I'm just wondering because its been a while and few and far between since I've seen any thing really good.

Feed back people, i need it.

I will second the recommendation of Serenity. A full DVD+Theatrical viewing experience is recommended but not required.

I have been re-acquainting myself with a bit of a lost genre: the sandy post apocalyptic movie.

Mad Max: Newish to DVD featuring the original hardcore Aussie dialogue track. If I had to summarize the action in this it would be "jackass with cars."

Space Hunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone - This was surprisingly good. Easily the meatiest 3-D movie of it's time. Effects quality varies but the sense of scope and adventure is very satisfying. Molly Ringwald is cute but shrill. Ernie Hudson plays the black guy.

Metal Storm: The Destruction of Jared Syn - I watched 40 minutes before fast-forward scanning for titties or decaptiations. No dice. Eject tape. Kelly Preston is in this but not worth the very medicocre story and cheapo effects. Nice dune buggy crash about 20 minutes in. Not recommended.

Oh, and not related to the above I recommend the movie Baadassss which is airing on HBO these days. Inspirational and highly entertaining. Also the girl that plays Ginnie has the most remarkable nude body I've seen in movies for a long long time.
