Lines, Love the lines!

Black & white version New X-men #22 Posted by Picasa

Just wanted to show off the pre-colored version of the cover. Rarely do people get to see the B&W art work, A lot of detail usually get lost in the translation to color. Enjoy!

P.S. If this doesn't make you want to pick up our Run of New X-men(Starting at #20) then i guess nothing will. Try it you might like it. Later!

Man that's Awesome! I love inking and I wish i'd kept at it. You sir are an inker! Well I guess you already knew that. Are you a Terry Austin fan? Who are your faves?

Thanks for the compliments.

I do have to give it up to Austin, he is what many consider the father of the modern ink style.

I would say that over the last 10 years my favs would be Scott williams, Art thibert, Alex Garner and Tim townsend.

I love Alex Garner his work with Campbell rocks! I never could ink with quills I just didn't have the patience. I ink with Rapidographs and and spend the extra time adding line weight witht the tip. I love the brush but not that great at it.

I love using the quill. Of course it took a while to master it but i find it the most versatile.

I do use brush from time to time but mostly for effects and some organic looking things.
