I can finally say that Mark Brooks and I have been taken off of New X-men. While it was a book that we enjoyed working on it was something that was a bit problematic as far as time went. The Editors, Writers and everyone else was a Joy to work with.

Fear not though Mark and Myslef are moving on to do The Ultimate Spiderman Annual #2. The First one was such a great success they wanted us back. We have also been doing covers and the such latley along with my continueing work with Crhis Bachalo on Uncanny X-men and soon to be X-men title i have no shortage of work. Here is to a new day.

BattleStar Pegasus.

Tonight on the Sci-Fi Channel BattleStar Galacticas second seson continues with the showdown between Adama and the Galactica and Cain of the Pegasus comes to a head.

This is a great scifi show and i have been really amazed that they have been able to pull this off. Its exciting with nice production values, good complex characters and good story arcs.In my opinion this make the original look like dog vomit. Harsh yes but nostalgia and ship design aside the original was a wretched peice of b-Tv garbage.

As for the trailer i can honestly say that it somewhat surprised me. Given the fact that Brett Ratner replaced Bryan Singer as well as some of the rumored plot lines, I was very leery of what it was going to look like.

Juggernaught looks ok (need a better view of the helmet), Beast looks ok (need to see him talk and act), and angel looks surprisingly cool and tough.

From the looks of the trailer Magneto recuits a small Mutant army, so hopefully we will finally get to see some large scale battles between the X-men and the Brotherhood.

So far I'm left with more excitment than before. i guess the Trailer did it's job.

Bradon Routh as Superman. Superman Returns.

Tonight on Smallville they showed the first offical teaser for next Years Superman Returns. From what i could see everything looked cool. Loved the use of the Marlon Brando voice over as well as the classic John Willimas score. Lets hope that Brian Singer can bring the right touch to the Superman Mythos, and it would help if Routh, and relative new comer doesn't stink up the joint.

Adam Baldwin and me!

Got to meet Adam "Animal Mother" Baldwin at the Dallas comic-con. Adam in Full Metal Jacket has always been one of my favorite characters in movies so it was awesome to meet the guy in person, Man he is really tall!

What's weird is that i looked really pissed in the photo, but it was because they were in a hurry to get to the airport and the picture was taken before i was ready. Oh well!

This last weekend we had the Dallas Comic con. The show went well and everyone seemed to have a good time, I wanted to give a shout out to my good friend Mark Walters http://bigfanboy.com/ who bust his butt to make sure that the show went well and that the guests were taken care of.

Also wanted to say that it was cool that Mark Brooks brought out his wife Lisa( Jen says hi), It was cool to hang out with them as well as Ale Garza and his wife. I think i can safely assume that everyone had a great time after the show. It was really fun and with Jim Daly http://jmd3.com/ and Jeff Dickens from out of town visiting it was all worth the time and effort, even if I paid for all the lack of sleep.

WOW! What a game. I guess It's obvious I'm a houston Astros fan, have been since i started watching baseball from age 5. Even if i wasn't a "Stros" fan i would have been glued to what is one of the most nerve racking, frustrating, Dramatic and longest games in history.

Kind of makes up for that tear inducing Astros playoff game in 86' against the Mets that lasted 16 innings only to have the Astros blow it.

Less than Two months and Mark Brooks and myself begin our run as the regular pencil/ink team. This issue will mark a new direction for the X-men in training as the events of House of M are felt in full effect.

Trust me when i say that Mark really kicks some ass with these characters and the story. Ah good times.

So now that the game has come and gone we can bid farewell to another football season. Glad the Pats won, Not that I'm a huge fan it's just that i despise the Philly Eagles( sorry Philly fans).

All in all i thought it was a good game, not a great one. But i tell you what really sucked was those sorry excuses for commercials they rolled out. I think i laughed at maybe two to three times all night. What a letdown. Later!

Hello kids! Sorry about the lack of updates, Work got crazy and being sick sucked ass.

Anyway, wanted to let everyone know that in March (I Know, it's 2 months away) that the follow up to the popular X-MEN story-line Age of Apocalypse, Penciled by the awesome Chris Bachalo and Inked by the equally awesome Tim Townsend will hit. My Buddy and patner in crime Mark Brooks provides a great cover, see above (also offered as a poster) but He and I will be providing some of the art to the launch book, Age of Apocalypse one-shot. Just got the first page today, more updates to come.

A group of drunks!

It was real nice of everybody to squeeze me all the way in the back. Some nerve, my own picture taken with my own camera. Sheesh! ;)

Well the old year has died a deserving death and a fresh new optimistic year is upon us. Hope everyone had a good time on New years eve.

We did! Had a small but lively group meet at one of the Local bar like places and many a drink was consumed that night, I have the tab to prove it. But thanks to everyone for coming out, Missed a couple people who couldn't be there some because they never showed up or called(Erik!) and others who couldn't be there because they live in other far away cities(Jim and Jeff).

Batman Begins: Christian Bale as Batman.

The New trailer is out for Batman Begins and it's looking pretty good so far. We get to see a lot more of Batman himself than in the first teaser and it definitely looks to be a serious take on the caped crusader. In fact it looks maybe a bit too serious for the people who like some comedy with their action/super-hero movies, we shall see.

On to the look of the costume and Gotham city. Maybe I'm in the minority but I think that the right way to do a Batman movie is to use the rubber/armored costume, Though i wish they would streamline the cowl a bit more. I know, I know. "But what about those cool fan films with the traditional costume?" I think that works for those things but lets be realistic, a person would need at least some protection if he was constantly jumping on and around buildings and fighting people with guns on a regular basis. Hell, the tights wouldn't even keep him from getting scrapped knees. Now that's just plain pathetic and embarrassing when a big time super hero falls and scrapes something. As long as they make him move with the speed and grace that makes Batman what he is then i will have no problem with the suit.

Gotham also looks to be slanted towards the realistic. Now while I like the take on Gotham city in the first Batman movie( Dark, Decayed,Scary), the subsequent versions just got ridiculous and plain stupid. I mean how many buildings do you need in one city that have to be supported by half naked muscle men( Joel Shitmaker!) Not that there's anything wrong with that, It's just unnessecary. Anyway hope it rocks! JMHO

Now when I look at this it strikes me as a Gritty grown up version of the "Craptastic" Dick Tracy movie from the 90's. Not quality wise, just the noirish, slightly cartoonishness and just out there look of the whole thing.

Let just hope that Rodriguez can make a better movie than his last disaster "Once upon a time in Mexico" Pee-ew!

Well now that Christmas is over we can all tally up what we got and what we didn't get. It was a pretty good one for me, yeah sure I got the standard socks, pajamas and lets not forget the obligatory gift card but My parents hooked me up with a nice T.V, "Thanks folks" and I got to spend time with the grand folks. So all in all not too shabby.

First off, Merry Christmas!

The crazy season is on us and it's time to eat, spend some time with the loved ones or just be miserable. Whatever works for you guys out there( I don't judge). It's cold out side, my hand is aching from all the last minute pages Of Amazing Spiderman that needed to be inked before the Holidays and my computer keeps crashing, yeah!
